Resistive load banks built on a high-performance technological basis
From the beginning, KVA Applications has defined its own standards, mainly the basic elements of the load banks, the resistors.
On the one hand, assembling these basic elements enables us to respond to the specific requirements of the customer; KVA Applications manufactures a load bank in perfect compliance to the specifications defined with the customer at the time of order.
On the other hand, the technique consisting of coupling standard resistive elements in a load bank facilitates its use and maintenance.
A proven range of standard load / unload banks
A range of standard forced-ventilated load banks has been developed. It is particularly suited to the needs of load bank rental companies or electrical generator maintenance providers: a homogeneous, compact, accurate, reliable and easy to transport equipment.
KVA Applications has developed this standard based on the very specific criteria required by its customers: power, precision, resolution (granularity or no power), frequency and voltage. KVA also created a new standard for forced-ventilated load banks from 50 KV to 750 KV.
Enhanced precision
To meet the highest accuracy requirements, KVA Applications uses shielded resistive elements that offer very little variation between hot and cold conditions, less than 2% of the ohmic value. This allows for more reliable value readings.
Low current draw at start-up
This small variation has another advantage, it limits the current drawn at the start. Indeed a resistance that is cold has a lower ohmic value than when hot, so the current consumed is higher. If the variation is small, the current drawn at the start is limited, thus preserving the electrical source of over-currents which can damage the equipment.
